We have decided to honeymoon in Canada, a trip filled with adventure and activities! Please have a look at our itinerary, and if there is anything in particular you would like to gift to us as part of our trip, we would be very grateful! If you want further information or any links, please let us know. I've tried to keep things brief so you get a flavour of the adventures we have planned.
If there is anything else you think we should do on our trip, or any tips, please let us know!
We fly out on the 1st September from London to Vancouver
On our first day we will be exploring the city of Vancouver
We would love to explore the city from the air, such as taking a float plan est. £150
Our first night in Vancouver will be at the Westin Bay Hotel, est. est. £250
We plan to eat lunch out, and trying the new foods here and finish the day with a romantic meal
est. £25-75
We make our journey to Whistler on the 2nd September via train where we will be begin many adventures
We plan to try the wine tasting in Whistler which is very popular here est. £100
The main attraction which brings us to Whistler is the world renowned mountain biking. You could gift us a lift pass (est. £300 for 2 people for 2 days) or bike hire (est. £150 per day).
Alternatively, we would welcome a lunch out on the top of the mountain! est. £25-35 or a glass of wine once we reach the bottom est. £10-20
We plan to stay at a lovely lodge in Whistler for a total of 6 nights, it will be the base for all of our activities (est. £175 ppn)
After a morning of hiking, we also plan hiring canoes and exploring the water (est. £50)
This romantic trip is packed full of adrenaline where we will climb up the rocky hills and ends with a romantic meal (of salmon!) at the top of the mountain (est. £250)
We then head back to Vancouver on the 8th September to spend 2 nights prior to our next trip. We plan on exploring the city with lots of walking and ending the evening with a romantic meal (est. £75-100)
During our two days in Vancouver we plan to visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge for some amazing views (est. £80)
Of course we have to explore some beautiful gardens too, they are a ferry trip away to Victoria (est. £50-75)
On the 10th September we begin the most epic rail journey of all, the journey onboard the Rocky Mountaineer!
We are very excited to see the panoramic views of the mountains, rivers and wildlife. The rail journey is 2 days long and we stop overnight in a hotel. Dinner is well appreciated after a long days travel (est. £50-75).
We continue our journey onboard and arrive at our destination late in the day in Banff, Alberta on the 11th September.
While in Banff, we plan to undertake more walking and hiking and we would also like to go up the Banff Gondola (est. £75)
We are big food lovers, and are very excited to try out the cuisine in Banff. Lunch and dinner are going to be amazing here (est. £25-100)
The big showstopper in Banff is their horse riding through the mountains, a no brainer for us both (est. £250)
The final destination before heading back to BC will be an excursion to visit the famous Lake Lousie (est. £75-100). If time is tight, we might exchange this for a boat trip later on.
We then travel on the 13th September arriving late at night so we may not do very much exploring, althought a late night snack is guaranteed. (est. £25)
A quick flight of just over an hour and we are back in Vancouver on the 14th, where we pick up car hire from the airport, ready to continue our adventures over to Vancouver Island.
Arriving on the afteroon of September 14th, Vancouver Island is rather rural and has many secluded forest cabins, and that is our plan to base the last part of our trip from. Staying for 5 nights
More walking and exploring is needed. Packed lunches and earl grey tea tokens are well appreciated for our hikes (est. £25)
We plan to stay a night or two in these cabins, and some even have hot tubs! (est. £100 a night)
So much to explore, the car hire in Vancouver Island is crucial, there is very little public transport in these rural parts. Contribution to a good pair of walking boots for Cameron will be appreciated (est. £75-100)
Surfing is one of the sports we did on our very first holiday together in Cornwall, we are bringing our wetsuits with us, it may not be too warm but we are determined to catch some waves! Surf board hire (est. £30-40)
The West Coast of Vancouver Island is known for lots of bike hire along its beaches, while we normally prefer mountains, we also determined to give beach biking a go (est. £25-35)
We spend our final night back in Vancouver on the 21st September, as not to miss our flight! We look back on all the wonderful memories we have created and look forward to sharing the photos with everyone.
Reunited with Charlie! ❤️
